This Vanity URL App provides the opportunity to create short URLs for campaignsa as well as QR codes including UTM parameters for tracking purposes.
The Vanity URL app is quite technical and only used by magnolia pubishers and key users. It is providing short URLs on the basis of the business primary domain in order to shorten certain campaign URLs. Adding standardized UTM parameter enable a campaign tracking in Google Analytics.
To set up a new short URL first click on your business folder and "add Vanity URL". First you define the short URL name, starting with a "/".
In a second step you need to select your business/operating company out of the dropdown. This business folder defines the primary URL of the entire campaign URL.
Then the target link of the the defined short URL needs to be defined. Either you select an internal magnolia page of your primary domain or you insert an external URL.
The description field provides the option to maintain some notes, for example to give some detailed information about the campaign.
To measure the success of your campaign, URLs can be tracked in Google Analytics. To have a clear grouping and naming for the campaign URL you should consider some standard UTM parameters.

After all settings are done, please save your entry and publish it.
After saving the new short url, the final target URL is shown on the overview. Further the QR code is generated anc can be downloaded by using the "download code" button on the right hand side navigation. The QR code is provided in svg format for further usage.
