The magnolia CMS has an important role in the HeraeusWeb service and its headless architecture to reach the vision of a seamless Customer Experience Platform:
- A hub for editorial content that can easily be created and reused across multiple channels
- magnolia supports to easily integrate third party data into the content and connect different data source applications, as we have with e. g. CRM or PIM
- it supports internationalization and personalization of customer content in a unified author experience
Working with Apps
Within magnolia all content and data is maintained within several apps. Each app is a kind of data pool and there are connections between them to bring the data together. Assets for example are maintained in the so called Assets app, contacts are maintained in the so called Contacts app.
All content pages are built in the so called Pages app. Content pieces out of the other apps are just embedded by a reference to the data of the other apps.
Example: you like to insert an image into your content page, so this image needs to be stored into the asset app first.
Some apps you are using quite often in your daily business, others you do not need regularly. Therefore you have the possibility to bookmark your favourites.
Your individual favourite bookmarks
- To create your own favourite bar, please click the "+/-" symbol to open the respective dialogue.
- In the dialogue window you can now select your favourite app to add or remove them from your personal bookmark.
